As we close in on the True Blood Season 4 premiere, fans will be anxiously waiting to see where creator Alan Ball takes his supernatural shock fest. Season 3’s finale left fans with their mouth’s wide open and questions swirling in their heads. Where did Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Claudine (Lara Pulver) go in the finale, and to what end? Did they travel to fairyland to sit around and read each other’s minds? Most fans will be looking forward to new relationships when True Blood returns. We all remember that Sookie and Bill (Steven Moyer) broke up in last season’s finale. So, all eyes are on Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) to finally make his move. Eric and Sookie’s kiss in Episode 3.10, “I Smell a Rat,” was such a tease and we want more! However, Eric isn’t the only potential love interest in Sookie’s fairyland future. There was undeniable chemistry between Sookie and werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello), aka the only person (supernatural or otherwise) that Sookie doesn’t hate. With Bill gone there is certainly room for more suitors to creep in, especially during the daytime. Maybe Sookie can go for both fur and fang, Alcide during the day and Eric at night. She did just come out of an engagement so there is no need to rush into to a new relationship and get tied down right away. Currently, Eric may have the edge on Alcide. Acesshollywood.com reports that Eric will loose his memory at the beginning of season 4, possibly putting aside all his guilt and anger towards humans. This foreshadow a softer sweeter Eric. Let’s just hope he keeps his sexy mysterious ways. Cast and creators have been tight-lipped regarding the outcome of the fight-to-the-death between Sophie-Ann (Evan Rachael Wood) and Bill. However, it’s safe to assume that the writers aren’t going to kill off one of their main characters. So, don’t expect Bill to die. He’ll probably just get pretty banged up or at least find himself in major trouble for challenging the Queen of Louisiana. For season 4, I would love to see more flashbacks with Eric and Pam (Kristin Bauer), of course with a little Godric (Allan Hyde) action as well. In regards to relationships, I’m all for team Eric. It’s about time we’ve seen some separation between Sookie and Bill. Perhaps, I could be swayed towards Alcide’s team, but only if he’s shirtless. What are you guys hoping for in season 4? |
